Testing Dates: ASE testing is available year-round.

Tests Offered: All Certification and Recertification Tests

Testing Period: When you register for an ASE test, you will have 90 days from the original date of purchase to schedule an appointment and take your test at any of the over 450 Prometric test centers across the United States and Canada.

Testing Appointments: When registering online with ASE, you also need to schedule your own appointment date and time. With  ASE, you can choose testing appointments across several weeks of test dates and times to best suit your busy lifestyle. You can take ASE tests during the day, in the evening, or on weekends, subject to test center availability. Schedule your tests as early as possible, as appointment times fill up quickly. If you register by telephone, you can register and schedule your tests at the same time.


Initial Certification Test Fees

  • Registration Fee: $34, paid with each order.
  • Test Fees (other than those specified below): $53 each
  • Advanced Level Test Fees (L1, L2, L3, and L4): $106 each
  • Military Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (TWV) Test Fees: $85 each

Recertification Test Fees

  • Registration Fee: $34, paid with each order.
  • Test Fees (other than those specified below): $53 each
  • Advanced Level Test Fees (L1R, L2R, and L3R): $106 each
  • You may purchase as many recertification tests as you want in order, but we cap the cost of your tests at $159. So, the most anyone would pay to recertify in a single order is $193—no matter how many recertification tests are purchased.
  • ASE Renewal App: For those certified in A1-A9, you may subscribe to the ASE Renewal App for $48/year to get one question per area per month, sent to your mobile device, to recertify and keep your credentials current. Visit www.ASERenewalApp.com for more details.
