Exercise, however, only accounts for one-half of our physical state. Our diet is the other. Too many of us neglect to take the time to plan a wholesome diet that will improve our concentration and productivity. I was one of them, and I experienced the effects. Fortunately, my wife was able to save the sinking ship, and now, at the age of 46, I feel better than I did in my twenties.
The development of the ideal diet is the subject of entire books. I think we don’t require quite as much. A better-balanced diet is a secret to living healthy. I normally have 40% chicken, 30% fish, and 30% meat in each of my seven lunches and seven meals each week. Every meal includes a variety of veggies, with the exception of the occasional burger. Most significantly, I don’t typically eat until I’m full. You can also try matcha, a type of green tea. Green tea contains caffeine, but it also contains phytochemicals that help with relaxation and cognitive function.
Clearing unwanted kinds of stuff (Declutter)
De-cluttering is another method for reducing distractions and building up your brain; if your desk, office, and mind are clean, you’ll have fewer opportunities for interruptions. I always begin each week by decluttering my office; anything from the previous week that was left lying around needs to be handled quickly; you need to be sure that there is nothing you have overlooked or neglected.
