Years ago, whenever my computer asked me for updates, I would receive a notification and then leave the room so that it could update quietly. Now, I receive them weekly on my phone, asking me to update this IOS and download this app. They are constantly staring me in the face and nagging me to do so. Even after eliminating all those interruptions, you can start to figure out that thing that is still preventing you from moving forward. I wasn’t thinking about them anymore, and my time, energy, and concentration were going where they should be going—towards the objectives I actually wanted to focus on.
