Every year, there are 52 Mondays, which are dreaded by people all around the world. They force themselves out of bed and endure workdays that are the beginning of “five days of hell.”

The situation has grown so bad that the majority of us spend our Sundays anxiously attempting to “relax” as much as we can while trying to think of ways to avoid what is coming up. Because of how widespread this ailment has become, we now have well-known words to express our emotions, such as “Sunday Scaries” “Sunday Sadness” and “Monday Blues.”

Weekends are all about family time, adventure, leisure, and no alarms in the morning. They are designed to provide you with a respite from your work week and a chance to rejuvenate.  But in reality, we are so preoccupied with catching up on washing, cleaning, grocery shopping, and other menial tasks that we arrive at Mondays feeling worn out and grumpy. We can all agree that Mondays are to blame for our short weekends and our general feeling of inactivity.

It often represents the conclusion of the frivolity and freedom of the weekend and the return to regularity, early starts, and school runs. For the majority, it also represents a working day. Even if you adore your job, the weekend still seems far away (again!). You can feel worn out and stuffed from the weekend, which makes you feel anxious about the long week ahead. You may indulge in your favorite snack or dessert, watch your favorite TV show, or brew some uplifting tea while you listen to your favorite playlists. I’ve recently come to like writing a post every Monday. Every time I publish a blog post, I feel incredibly accomplished and satisfied, and it always makes me feel better on Mondays. But whenever I fail at this, I never feel anxious. The key is to have pleasure in what you are doing.

Get some exercise

Exercise is a proven way to improve mood and energy levels. Making a start is the toughest, so plan. Set the alarm, don’t let the ‘ snooze’ function fool you, and be dedicated! A small bit of physical activity, such as a fast yoga session, jog, or gym session, can go a long way toward making you feel happier (and perhaps a little smug!) on a Monday morning. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that if you exercise on a Monday, you are more likely to keep up your routine the rest of the week since “you have started the week well.”

I’d rather do what I enjoy doing on the weekends than what I have to do during the workweek, is a common response from people. I’d like you to take a closer look.
