Application Process

Prospective international postgraduate students can apply for the Boya Postgraduate Scholarships during the regular admissions process at Peking University. The application typically includes academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Scholarship eligibility criteria and specific requirements can be found on the university’s official website. The candidates are required to designate one Peking University faculty member who will act as a postdoctoral supervisor and obtain written approval from said faculty member. There will only be 300 fellowships available for the 2023–2024 academic year, and they will be chosen after two rounds of applications in 2023. In 2023, there will be a maximum of 200 fellowships awarded in the first round and a maximum of 100 fellowships awarded in the second round. Doctorate candidates may apply in the first round if they will receive their degree in 2023, and may apply in the second round if they will receive their degree before July 1, 2024.

Submission

The complete application should be saved as one file in pdf format. Please submit it by email to the corresponding coordinator (see tables below) in the postdoctoral supervisor’s schools, departments, institutes, and centers. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
