Working from home with kids can be difficult and challenging, whether it’s a regular event (PA Day, bad weather, sickness, etc.) or you are a seasoned pro.

Make a schedules
While some parents insist on daily routines, others let their children choose their own pace. Whether there should be structure or not depends on your child’s age and whether you can collaborate with another caregiver.
In my coaching practice, I have observed moms who will carve out uninterrupted periods of time, even for just 10 minutes at a time, to be productive. When their kids are asleep or otherwise occupied, they will work. Alternately, they might go to bed a little later than they do or get up sooner.
Even if you only devote 10 minutes at a time to one of the many tasks you may have on your to-do list that day, you can still accomplish a lot. Set priorities for your workday and complete the most important tasks first. Working uninterruptedly for eight hours is hardly the definition of productivity!
Communicate and Set Your Boundaries
Nowadays, parents are under a lot of pressure to please everyone. That doesn’t imply that the pressure is right, balanced, or necessary. It’s acceptable to let go of things that aren’t beneficial to your family and yourself so that you may find ways to spend more time together.
Recognize when to stop working and spend time with your family and children. They’ll quickly discover that even if mom isn’t around right now, she will make up for it later! Positively express your boundaries to everyone. Setting boundaries is much more effective than rushing through them.
Establish a Specific Workspace
Create a designated workspace so your children will understand when it is time to work. It’s not necessary for this place to be an expensive workspace. You can reserve a spot that will serve as a reminder when it is time to work in your bedroom, laundry room, or another location.
It will also make it easier for you to go from “work” to “home” when you leave that area, and it might even make it easier for the kids to comprehend the variety of roles you play in their lives—mom and worker being just two of them. You can also create an area where you can practice yoga, meditate, or engage in another activity by yourself that helps you feel good.
Allow yourself to feel your emotions
Cut yourself some slack and be kind to your children. Be kind to yourself! You are a wonderful mother sometimes; you’re just having a bad day. Accept chaos, temper tantrums, uncooperative children, and technology as inevitable side effects of life. Take a five-minute break, exhale deeply, and then restart as necessary. Even if your day is full of tiny restarts, it’s still a fantastic day.
With and without your children, cultivate thankfulness. Being thankful makes you joyful. Enjoy the small, unexpected things in life. To feel angry, sad, frustrated, etc., take five. We are Human. Knowing that it’s okay to fall but necessary to get back up, let yourself experience your emotions without always policing them.
Request for Assistance
ask for assistance. Work together to alternate entertaining the kids, or if you are fortunate enough to have family, friends, or babysitters, enlist their help so you may concentrate on your chores while your children are secure and well-cared for.
