Review

“She spent a year road-testing every theory about happiness she could get her hands on, using her own life as the road, with the help of her formidable intelligence and willingness to try anything.” —TIME

After reading Gretchen Rubin’s account of a year spent seeking fulfilment, you’ll want to begin your own happiness project and enlist the help of your loved ones. This is one of the few books that will make you ponder and grin at the same time, frequently at the same time.

Summary

As a professional organiser, I frequently enjoy reading books and blogs on organising, taking online workshops, and looking at photos of rooms that other organisers have completed. I recently discovered Gretchen Rubin’s book Outer Order, Inner Calm and asked the library for it.

I recognised Rubin’s name, and after reading the book, I understood why. Also, Rubin wrote The Happiness Project, which I bought a few years ago and finally gave away while performing a house sweep motivated by Marie Kondo’s Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.
