Don’t manage your tasks using emails
Instead of operating emaIl as a task manager, email is designed as a communication tool. We utilize our email accounts for purposes other than those for which they were designed, which is why we sometimes find ourselves lost in them. You don’t listen to your voicemail for hours, wait for the mailman to deliver a letter, or attach sticky notes on your phone to represent each activity related to each phone call. Use a task management tool to manage your tasks and your email app for email so to help you enhance production.
Capture some things but do not capture everything
Capturing your thoughts, ideas, and possible activities as they occur is a terrific concept, but if you can complete a task right away, don’t bother writing it down. While checking a box is always satisfying, if you don’t need to make the box since you can do the task right away, why waste your time? When you do that, it gives you a false sense of accomplishment.
You can develop a habit that is simpler to maintain by developing rituals for your morning and evening routines, your commute to work, and other frequent times. Additionally, since your mind already knows what it must accomplish as part of a ritual, you end up freeing it up to perform more demanding tasks. What you can ritualize should be ritualized. It saves a ton of time.

Task management and time management are quite different things. When you think about time, the amount of time you have in a day seems limited in relation to the tasks you need to complete. This supports the preceding suggestions. Don’t get up the following morning at 5 or 6 a.m. if you go to bed at 1 a.m. Sleep as much as you can, whenever you can. It is crucial for the health of your body and mind.

You’re doing more harm than good to yourself if you ignore the setup procedure. Spend the time necessary for the initial setup process now to save time later.
Listen to podcasts
Like reading novels, there are many excellent podcasts available. As you commute or perform other menial tasks like mowing the yard or doing the dishes (like I do), listen to them. Most likely, you’ll equally learn something new and enjoy yourself which will help you enhance production.
Enjoy your leisure
In many cases, doing nothing can make your next action even better. Enjoy your leisure when you have it. Try not to fill it.
Make a budget
Making a budget will help you enhance production. Do this for both financial and psychological reasons. Budget the mental space according to what your mind can handle over the course of a month (or even a year). This is a fantastic way to avoid overwhelm and maximize the impact of the work you actually perform.
Stick with it, despite all other thinking to the contrary
There will be moments when you’ll feel like using a task organizer is a waste of time, conducting regular reviews is pointless, and even that you’re not accomplishing any more than you were before. That is absurd. There will be times when other people will make an effort to persuade you of this. Put those ideas out of your head. If you persevere, you will benefit from improved short- and long-term productivity.
